Peoria Civic Chorale

Peoria Area Civic Chorale exists to develop, create, produce and perform a diverse repertoire of the highest quality vocal and choral music presented in the most professional manner for the enjoyment, entertainment, aesthetic enrichment and education of its members, its audience and those who live in the communities it serves.

	Spring 2009 - Celebrate! The Sensational �60�s Join the Peoria Area Civic Chorale on Thursday, April 30 and Friday, May 1 at River Community Church in Peoria for a concert program featuring several of the most memorable songs from the tie-dye decade of the 1960s. Celebrate with all the Baby-Boomers as we feature the music from various 1960s stage and screen musicals, the rhythm and blues of Motown, songs from Lennon and McCartney, beautiful songs representing the folk music tradition, and some of the American Classics including What Now My Love, I Left My Heart in San Francisco, People, and the Shadow of Your Smile. Join us as we reminisce, rejoice, and commemorate songs of the sensational sixties. An additional 2:30 matinee performance of Celebrate! The Sensational 60s will be presented at the Caterpillar Performing Arts Center at Five Points Washington on Sunday, May 3. Dr. Joseph D. Henry, Artistic Director
	Sacred Music Review On August 2, 2009 at 2:30 the Peoria Area Civic Chorale will perform their third annual sacred concert at Salem Lutheran Church in Peoria. This concert is free and open to the public. Many Chorale soloists and ensembles will be featured in this afternoon of great music and fellowship.
